Windows blocks files downloaded from the Internet by default — that is its own security mechanism, not a problem with the installer. This build carries no digital signature yet, so the first run asks you to confirm; the download page shows what to expect and how to get past it.
Added
- Two new tools: view_create_callout_safe creates a callout view from a rectangle in a parent plan, section or elevation view, and view_create_drafting_safe creates a drafting view at a chosen scale with a unique name.
- Control Center adds an Update now button so you can start a waiting update yourself instead of waiting for the next background check, and cleans up older downloaded installer folders after an update finishes.
Changed
- family_load_and_place_safe, project_place_mep_fixture_safe and element_place_family_instance_safe now read back the elevation of a level-based family instance they place. When the instance does not sit at the requested elevation, the placement is undone and the tool fails with PLACEMENT_ELEVATION_CONTRACT_DRIFT instead of leaving a misplaced element in the model.
- parameter_set_safe accepts built_in_parameter and expected_storage_type to target a built-in parameter directly when more than one parameter shares a display name, and tools with length arguments accept both *_feet and *_meter fields while refusing a call that sends conflicting values for the same dimension.
- project_create_floor_safe, floor_update_safe, project_create_footprint_roof_safe, roof_update_safe, sweep_create_project_safe and family_create_sweep_safe accept inner_loops for openings, and file_save_document no longer writes a .bak copy beside the model or stamps FLOW-<id> into element Comments.
- project_create_from_template_safe no longer guesses a template file by matching "metric" or "imperial" in filenames. When template_path is omitted, it uses Revit's configured DefaultProjectTemplate and refuses with PROJECT_TEMPLATE_UNIT_MISMATCH if that template's display units do not match unit_system. The hosted tool description for project_create_from_template_safe still mentions unit-system template lookup in this build and will be updated in 1.0.21.
Fixed
- Every mutation tool now verifies that its Revit transaction group committed (CHECKPOINT_NOT_ASSIMILATED) and rolls back or refuses by name when a requested change did not take effect: wall_create_finish_safe evaluates room boundary curves with raw curve parameters so segments longer than one foot do not fail auto-height sampling, datum_extents_copy_safe checks target view datum visibility in both preview and execute and refuses with DATUM_EXTENT_VERIFY_FAILED when nothing applies, and workflow_fix_loop_plan and workflow_fix_loop_apply match view templates by exact target_template_name only and warn when a playbook rule sets the playbook rule key target_template_name_contains.
- element_move_safe reads back the moved position of text notes (Coord), viewports (GetBoxCenter) and independent tags (TagHeadPosition) instead of reporting ELEMENT_MOVE_UNVERIFIED. annotation_list_tags, annotation_inspect_tag and annotation_tag_elements_safe now include room, space and area tags (annotation_list and annotation_inspect remain independent-tag only). annotation_create_dimension_safe creates multi-segment chain dimensions across three or more references and clears a dimension value override when value_override is empty, and annotation_update_dimension_layout_safe resets text positions per segment on multi-segment dimensions (per-segment text offset and readback are deferred to 1.0.21).
- spatial_raycast orders hits from nearest to farthest before applying max_hits, view_override_elements_safe admits hidden elements via IsHidden(view) so unhide calls reach UnhideElements and refuses with VIEW_OVERRIDE_NO_TARGETS when no targets resolve in the view, filter_copy_between_views_safe checks Color.IsValid before reading RGB channels, view_inspect_graphics reads RevitLinkGraphicsSettings.LinkVisibilityType instead of parsing ToString() (type-level link display overrides when a link instance has no override remain reported as by_host_view until 1.0.21), and view_set_crop_safe supports section views while preserving CropBox.Transform.
- When the server rotates a refresh token during token refresh, both the connector and Control Center save the new refresh token immediately so the computer stays signed in across token rotations. The hosted hub does not rotate refresh tokens today, and a failed local token save is not yet shown in Control Center.
